History
Department of Medical Imaging Techniques was established under the Marmara University School of Health Services in 1990. In the same year appointed head of department MU School of Medicine faculty member has been appointed Professor Nevzat Gürmen Since 2000(still) head of department task has been Asst. Prof. Nuran Akyurt Ph.D. Msc. Administrative and academic activities in the conduct receive duties, 1 associate professor, 1 assistant professor, 1 lecturer, 1 research assistant and 1 medical technician

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Medical Imaging Techniques Program students can graduate in 4 semesters for a total of 90 credit and must complete 120 ECTS.In the program, all of the courses available (total 120 ECTS) students to successfully complete at least 2.00 weighted grade point average is 4.00 to get through.Students graduating to be instructional programs by taking note of all courses at least DD must succeed.
Profile of The Programme

The process of rapid globalization defeat the growing technological human resources in the countries causes to focus development.Based on these facts used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease all modalities of Radiology( Conventional and Digital Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Digital Subtraction Angiography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging)nuclear medicine at the same time(SPECT, PET, PET-CT) and radiotherapy (simulator, linear accelerator etc.)education and communication skills they can use information in accordance with implement the technology in the field technical equipment, have the ability to synthesize information comfortable use eye and hand coordinationprovide coordination with radiologists and other health personnel to train qualified technical personnel.

Graduates of the Department of Medical Imaging Techniques in the state, universities, private hospitals and private medical centers and private imaging centers, Radiology (Radiology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Rezonance Imaging, Angiography, Mammography, Fluoroscopy) , Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy departments, with the title of technician.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
A semester in an academic year for students who attend classes each semester, a midterm, a final exam.
