History
Vocational School of Technical Sciences has been established by the decision of the Council dated 23 January 1991, depending on the Rectorate of Marmara University. Computer Programming Program is take part of Technical Programs Department since its establishment within the school.

Specific Admission Requirements
In accordance with the results of the examination, LYS, organized by OSYM (The student selection and placement center), students can register to our department. In addition, the graduates of Vocational High School computer department can directly register to our department. Besides acceptance requirements mentioned above, at the beggining of third semester, students can make a transfer from relevant departments of other higher education institutions.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Higher Education Institution Transfer Regulations is applied to the students who wants to do undergraduate transfer to our programs.

Qualification Requirements and Compliance to Regulations are enacted by YOK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.
Profile of The Programme
Provided training programs, with many years’ experience of bringing together the requirements of modern technology was prepared. The large jobs, this program students , solve identify software development problems, using of modern computational tools for computer software and hardware applications, has an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility, under the terms of the day knowing at least one of object-oriented programming languages, develop database applications, capable of dynamic and static web design, Linux and Windows-based operating systems to manage, network descriptions, and TCP / IP protocols to know, project to prepare the operating table and in the workplace to ensure the security of staff jobs are expected to learn.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Private and state companies IT departments , automation systems departments of hospitals, web design companies and service providers, and In the operation application and development departments of banks, supermarkets etc.
Access to Further Studies
With examination DGS organized by OSYM , Graduate students can continue to undergraduate programs like Computer Engineering in Technology Faculty or Engineering Faculty and also BOTE in Education Faculty.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
40% of Mid-term exam and 60% final exam give grade point averages. Relative evaluation system is applied in accordance with the " Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University”
Graduation Requirements
To complete successfully all the requirements of registered course such as curriculum, implementation, training and internship accordance with the provisions of “Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University” and at least 2.0 grade point average.

Facilities
Department of Computer Technologies has a laboratory which has 25 PC, smart board and projection device . Also, 2 computer labs of the TBMYO are used. In our department, there is 2 academic staff : 1 assistant professor, 1 dr. (research asistant ). In addition, E-Education Programme in our department also will have been started since 2012-2013 academic year.
