History
Vocational School of Technical Sciences has been established by the decision of the Council dated 23 January 1991, depending on the Rectorate of Marmara University. Biomedical EquipmentTechnology Program is take part of Technical Programs Department since its establishment within the school. Every new semester 35 students register to our program.

Specific Admission Requirements
Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institutions in the following list placeability the sections entitled without examination graduates. Priority placement is given to candidates with the right to pass without examination. Profile of The Programme
Provided training programs, with many years experience of bringing together the requirements of modern technology was prepared. Hospitals and medical device companies engaged in the manufacture and sale of the business opportunity to the students in this program. Students in this program, the basic principles of electronics and electronic equipment installation, maintenance, the basic principles of biomedical equipment, installation, maintenance, repair and calibration to do, measuring and testing instruments to use for this purpose, the measurement instruments to use, computer use, prepare technical reports, project specifications and prepare the medical legal regulation, the coordination between biomedical engineering and medical sciences are expected to learn.

Biomedical and Clinical Engineering departments of the hospitals, in the field of medical devices and systems that perform research and development services to corporations, engaged in the production of medical device companies, after-sales services, technical services, hospitals, maintenance, repair, calibration service companies that, medical device sales and marketing.

With exams DGS, Graduate students can make the transition to Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering undergraduate programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
40% of Mid-term exam and 60% final exam give grade point averages. Relative evaluation system is applied in accordance with the " Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University”
Graduation Requirements
To complete successfully all the requirements of registered course such as curriculum, implementation, training and internship accordance with the provisions of “Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University” and at least 2.0 grade point average.

Facilities
Biomedical Equipment Program has a laboratory. Also, 2 computer labs, Communications Laboratory and the Electronic Laboratory of the TBMYO are being used. In this labs, students get necessary experince for their professional life.
