History
Vocational School of Technical Sciences has been established by the decision of the Council dated 23 January 1991, depending on the Rectorate of Marmara University. Electronics Technology Program is take part of Technical Programs Department since its establishment within the school.

Specific Admission Requirements
The graduates of Vocational High School can directly register to our department organization by OSYM (The student selection and placement center). Besides acceptance requirements mentioned above, at the begining of third semester, students can make a transfer from relevant departments of other higher education institutions.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Higher Education Institution Transfer Regulations is applied to the students who wants to do undergraduate transfer to our programs.

Qualification Requirements and Compliance to Regulations are enacted by YOK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.
Profile of The Programme
Provided training programs, with many years experience of bringing together the requirements of modern technology was prepared. The large jobs, this program students, the basic principles of electronics and electronic equipment installation, maintenance, and repair the making, the measurement instruments to use, computer use and are used in industrial CAD / CAM and similar programs to use, computerized electronic circuit schematic drawing and reading, industrial machinery, computer and , how are controlled electronically, should be able to do the maintenance and repair, to prepare technical reports, project to prepare the operating table and in the workplace to ensure the security of staff jobs are expected to learn.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates employ in public organization and private sector as technician. Main employment areas are: Electrical and Electronic Circuit Manufacturing Centers, electronics and communication companies, companies working on Automation Systems.
Access to Further Studies
With examination DGS organized by OSYM , Graduate students can continue to undergraduate programs like Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical -Electronics Engineering .
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
40% of Mid-term exam and 60% final exam give grade point averages. Relative evaluation system is applied in accordance with the " Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University”
Graduation Requirements
To complete successfully all the requirements of registered course such as curriculum, implementation, training and internship accordance with the provisions of “Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University” and at least 2.0 grade point average.

Facilities
Electronics Technology Program has a laboratory. Also, 2 computer labs, Communications Laboratory and the Biomedical Laboratory of the TBMYO are used. In our department, there is 10 academic staff : 3 assistant professor, 2 doctor lecturer, 2 lecturer and 3 research assistant.

1 Skill of using math and science knowledge in the problems of the Electronic Technology
2 Cognition skill of recognition and resolving of engineering problems in Electronic Technology and related fields
3 Reveal of creative projects in the field of Electronic Technology, experimental verification of these projects and skill of interpreting results
4 Learning the techniques and safety principles for applications in the field of Electronics Technology and skill of using related measurement tools
5 Skill of making disciplinary and interdisciplinary teamwork
6 Skill of acting independently, using initiative and creativity
7 Skill of monitoring technological developments in their own topic and in general, lifelong learning and renewing itself
8 Skill of using information technologies in the field of Electronics Technology
9 Skill of professional and ethical responsibility and entreating sensitive to these
10 Having the information about quality standards and management; Skill of complying with management rules, standards and work discipline
11 In the light of Ataturk's principles, to have historical information on The Republic of Turkey foundation
12 Turkish verbal and written skills to communicate effectively; having at least one foreign language knowledge and skill of using this in professional field.
