History
Vocational School of Technical Sciences has been established by the decision of the Council dated 23 January 1991, depending on the Rectorate of Marmara University. Electronics Technology Program is take part of Technical Programs Department since its establishment within the school.

Specific Admission Requirements
In accordance with the results of the examination, LYS, organized by OSYM (The student selection and placement center), students can register to our department. In addition, the graduates of Machine Vocational High School can directly register to our department. Besides acceptance requirements mentioned above, at the beggining of third semester, students can make a transfer from relevant departments of other higher education institutions.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Higher education institutions for students who will register a transfer with the Transfer Regulations applied.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students who has successfully pass all the courses, who has done 30-work days trainee and who has successfully finish their project can graduate from our department as "Machine Technology Technician"
Profile of The Programme
Students of this program has opportunity for employment both in public organization and private sector and learn; principle of machine, hardware of laboratory equipments, their maintenance and repair, to prepare technical report and project, to provide job security both in work place and employees.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Public and private sector enterprises; Metal Production in the field, Machine Construction, Quality Control, Installation and service areas can work as technical staff. In addition, businesses can open their own.
Access to Further Studies
With exams DGS, Graduate students can make the transition to Machine Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, Machine Tecnhonogy Engineering and Metallurgy Technology Engineering undergraduate programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
40 % of Mid - term exam and 60 % final exam give grade point averages . Relative evaluation system is applied in accordance with the " Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University ” .
Graduation Requirements
To complete successfully all the requirements of registered course such as curriculum, implementation, training and internship accordance with the provisions of “Associate and Bachelor Degree Education and Examination Regulations of Marmara University” and at least 2.0 grade point average.

Facilities
Workshop and Laboratories: Computer Lab = 30 pcs. CAD / CAM Laboratory of Computer = 30 name. CNC Computer Lab = 8 pcs. CNC lathe Machine Shop = 20 pcs. Lathe, 10 pcs. Milling lathe workshop applications, Technical Education Faculty of turning, milling, grinding and CNC are workshops.
