The department is established with the cooperation of Marmara University and DAAD in 1991. The department educates manager candidates that are proficient both in turkish and german business terminology. Thereby the department helps to strengthen the economic ties between Turkey and Germany.

Qualification Awarded
|
The graduates receive bachelor degree in Business Administration.
|
Specific Admission Requirements
|
A high school diploma and an adequate score from the university admission examination is required. The students should pass the foreign language examination carried out by the department of foreign languages to proceed to 1st grade.

Education period is four years. Students take 30 credits each semester.

Profile of The Programme
|
The courses in the first five semesters are the same for all students. The students choose between "Accounting and Finance", "Marketing" and "Management and Organisation" at the end of fifth semester.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
|
The graduates are mostly employed by german multinational companies operating in Turkey. The department has more than 600 graduates to this day. Most of the gradutes works for Turkish-German companies, whereas others works for turkish and multinational companies. An important part of the graduates continue their Master programmes in Turkey and abroad. The relationship with the graduates are maintained through the Student's club.
Our department represents an important source for Turkish-German companies. Our graduates are mostly hired by Bayer, Bosch, BSH Profilo, Deutsche Bank, Mercedes-Benz, Metro, Praktiker, Rehau, SAP and Siemens.

Access to Further Studies
|
Graduates can apply to MBA and doctorate programmes by receiving an adequate score from ALES examination. Our department offers MBA-programmes in accounting and finance and production management and marketing. Doctorate programme is available only in accounting and finance.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|
40 % of the mid-term and 60 % of the final examination scores make up the core score. The core score should be over 50. 70 % class participation is required.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
The students graduate after 4 years by receving 30 credits every semester.
Yarıyıl/Yıl sonunda mezuniyet icin gerekli azami süreiy kullanmış, ancak GANO'su 2.00'ın altında olan ögrenciler icin GANO yükseltme amacıyla diledikleri son iki sınif dersinden ara vermeden sonraki yarıyıl/yıldan başlamak koşuluyla sınırsız sınav hakkı verilmektedir. 4 yıllık lisans eğitimi sunan bölümümüzde mezuniyet için tanınan azami eğitim süresi 7 yıldır.

Facilities

There is a library consisting of 2500 books in German language on business administration and economics. There are 55 computers in 2 computer labs. Our student club organizes social activities.
