History
Marmara University Theology Faculty, being the largest theology faculty in Turkey, is connected to Marmara University, which is one of Turkey's largest government universities. International Theology Program has started in 2006.

Theology Undergraduate Degree
Specific Admission Requirements
High school to be completed and to hold the citizenship of the current country. Student selection is carried out by a commission, set up by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
In the case, where the student applies with a transcript showing status of success previously received from any formal educational institution, he/she be exempt from equivalent courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to proceed with the program, Arabic preparation is compulsory. Before the first and second semesters, competence tests for Arabic are held. Successors can then begin the courses in the program
Profile of The Programme
In this program, alongside the basic required courses in theology, range of other elective courses are also available. Usually designed as beingproject based, elective courses could also be added according to the students' interests, wants and needs.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of this program will have the chance of finding jobs in areas such as religious services, religious education and also employment opportunities in social services, with their western and theological experiences.
Access to Further Studies
Those who wish to pursue an academic career, both in Turkey and Western universities, for higher degree and doctoral programs will be able to proceed.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Student assesment scores, consists of mid-term assessment and end of semseter final exam. Mid-Semester assessment, consists of at least one exam, homework, implementation and other assessments. The contribution of mid-semester assessment to the final grade is 40%, the remaining 60% is given by the end of semester exam. Relative Assessment System is used to convert the percentage grading system to lettered grading system, but Direct Conversion System is applied for the courses with the codes; ILH418, ILH497 and ILH498.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, all of the courses in the program will have to be completed with success and the General Grading Average will have to be at least 50 percent

1 Students will be able to read and understand religious text books.
