Profile of The Programme
The special care dentistry is involved in the improvement of oral care of patients and groups in society who have one or multiple impairments or disabilities such as physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, medical, emotional or social. This programme is specially designed to provide and extend the trainee’s knowledge, diagnostic and treatment skills in disabled and/or medically compromised patients and focused on mainly to educate the dentist starting from prevention of the oral diseases to severe medical-dental management of such individuals. The trainee is also encouraged to participate in or initiate a research programme in this field.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Dentists who get master degree at special care dentistry can work at private office, dental clinics of Ministry of Health or can continue academic education at dental faculty.

Spcial Care Dentistr Clinic facility consist of 4 dental chair, resting bed for disabled children, laser unit and special designed bed typed dental chair for skeletal disabled childen.
