History
The Periodontology Master’s program with thesis at the Institute of Health Sciences, began accepting students effective from the academic year 2003-2004.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete the Periodontology Master’s program with thesis get the title of “master of science in Periodontology”.
Specific Admission Requirements
The student must be foreign nationals, must have graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of a country other than Turkey,

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Graduate study program consists of compulsory courses. Students who successfully completed the courses and successfully defended their master’s thesis in front of the jury; are entitled to receive the master’s diploma.
Profile of The Programme
This program, is structured to introduce the enrolled student to advanced concepts, original research areas, research techniques and current education and training applications regarding periodontology; as well as to allow the students undertake a research project that will contribute to their academic development, and to contribute to the education of new specialists while preparing them for the master level of education.

Specialist in periodontolojy at the oral and dental health centers, private health institutions and hospitals, national and international academic staff in higher education,
Access to Further Studies
Upon successful completion of a master's degree, graduates may apply to doctoral programs in their fields.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In general, 40% of in-year assessments (mid-term exams, assignments projects, etc), 60% of year-end assessments (final exam, assignments, projects, etc.); and the master’s thesis of the student should be considered as successful by the academic jury.
Graduation Requirements
To successfully complete the courses (at least 21 credits) and hospital practices; and to successfully defend their master’s thesis in front of the jury.

Facilities
The program will enable interaction at national and international levels in order to reinforce the education and training of the students. Cooperation with foreign universities and research organizations on the basis of student exchange will be supported.
