History
Dentistry Faculty Deparment of Prostodontics Master (with thesis) program at the Institute of Health Sciences, began accepting students effective from the academic year 1983-1984. The program aims to develop qualified prosthodontists in order to enhance the success of clinical prosthodontic services in our country and therefore ensure following up new developments.

To be authourized for working as dentist in Turkey,To have licence diploma for Dentistry,Depending on the result of interview,licence graduation degree and ALES degree
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
According to the Higher Education Legislation formal education is performed. Students enrolled in the department of prosthodontics graduate programs of other universities’ may apply for transfers. In the case the student is enrolled in a graduate program at our University, which of the courses the student has taken while enrolled in a graduate program at another university, would be considered to be of the minimum course load will be decided upon the proposal of the supervisor and the relevant Department Board; and the approval of the Institute's Board of Directors.

Profile of The Programme
In Department of Prostodontics a master student educated in indications , contraindications , treatment plan and clinical approach of total and partial removable prosthetics ; of implant supported prosthetics , removable denture with presicion attachment and overdenture prosthetics ; of inlay , onlay and full ceramic restorations ; of maxilofacial prostodontics and psycological and clinical approach of this patients.Furthermore,he or she learns scientific research metods , research steps and details of scientific publication.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
As prosthodontists at hospitals of the Ministry of Health, in private dental offices and policlinics and at dental research&development industry.
Access to Further Studies
Upon successful completion of a master's degree, graduates may apply to doctoral programs in their fields that they scored enough points at the ALES test and have English language competency; and are accepted if they are successful in the interview.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Evaluation is made by theoric exam,project homework and clinical studies. Clinical skill exams made alongside with article and seminar presentations is also used for evaluation.Passing grade is at least 65 from 100 points.
Graduation Requirements
To successfully complete the courses (at least 21 credits) and hospital practices; and to successfully defend their master’s thesis in front of the jury; and to score at least an average of 2.5 (over 4)

Facilities
The program will enable interaction at national and international levels in order to reinforce the education and training of the students. Cooperation with foreign universities and research organizations on the basis of student exchange will be supported. At the department, there are necessary equipment and experience needed to perform both clinical studies and experimental studies.

1 Learns implant-supported prosthesis' components,clinical application and complications.
2 Learns removable partial dentures with precision attachments' indications,attacment and retentive parts and clinical applications.
3 Learns inlay,onlay and full ceramic restorations' indications,production phases vand clinical applications.
4 Learns obturators' production phases,types in patient with maxilofacial defects and usage of this obturators alongside with complete or partial prosthesis.
5 Learns indications,treatment plans and clinical applications of partial removable dentures.
6 Learns indications,contents and clinical applications of tissue conditioner and soft lining material.
7 Learns to get presurgical patient models and to make post surgical temporary dentures.
8 Learns anatomy,functions,role in gnatostomatic system and malfunctions of TMJ and treatment of this malfunctions.
9 Learns aesthetic design and preparations in dentistry.
10 Learns clinical applications and different type of protetic approach in different type of complete denture patients.
