History
Newborn Nursing Master Program (with thesis) connected to Health Sciences Institute began teaching in 1994-1995 academic year. The main objective of the program to evaluate the health of newborn and family framework of family centered care.
Qualification Awarded
Student's who complete the Master of Science in Newborn Nursing take specialist title at newborn nursing. They work as a newborn specialist nurse in clinics. Also students are eligible to begin to doctoral program at newborn nursing.
Specific Admission Requirements
Bachelor in nursing, 60 points from Academic Personnel and Graduate Entrance Examination (ALES), being successful in Scientific Evaluation and interview exam.

Profile of The Programme
This program configurated for caring included basic concepts of nursing, health assessment, protection, promotion, treatment and rehabilitaion of newborn and family, and providing opportunities for a research project which will help nursing science and student’s personel devalopment as researcher, and also growing up mastery nurses.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduated students from newborn nursing master programs with thesis are be able to work in government hospitals, university hospitals, private hospitals as nurse. In addition they can work as academician in universities.
Access to Further Studies
Further degree of master is doctorate. Upon successful completion of a master's degree, graduates may apply to doctoral programs in their fields provided that they scored enough points at the ALES test and have English language competency; and are accepted if they are successful in the interview.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
40% of in-year evaluation (visa, homework, projects), 60% of year-end evaluation (final exam, homework, projects) and successfully presentation of thesis in front of jury are required to complete successfully pediatric nursing master program.
Graduation Requirements
Courses and clinical practices of these must be completed successfully during newborn nursing master program. Additional to this, a thesis must be present in front of the academic jury at the end of the program.
