Objectives of the Course
The primary purpose of the course is to help students (a) differentiate the differences between qualitative and quantitative research paradigms in terms of their philosophical, epistemological, theoretical and methodological variations; (b)make use of advanced research methods used in social sciences; (c) develop the ability to critically review and evaluate various types of research articles; and compare and contrast the basic qualitative research designs (case study, action research, grounded theory, phenomenological research, ethnographic research, etc.).
