Objectives of the Course
To give a basic understanding of wireless and mobile networks.
Learning Outcomes
1 Ability to follow contemporary issues in the field of wireless and mobile networks
2 Ability to review technical papers in the field of wireless and mobile networks
3 Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of techniques and basic principles of cellular systems, wireless LANs, wireless sensor networks, satellite networks etc.
4 Ability to grasp the methodology in the performance evaluation of mobile wireless systems.
5 Ability to understand the impact of mobility and the resource constraints on MAC, routing, transport, and application layers in mobile wireless systems
6 Ability to define the basic concepts, types, advantages, and basic security matters of wireless and mobile networks
